What exactly is Maria’s Garden & Inn? Well, there is quite a story behind this unique and faith filled family business. Nestled in the Heart of Town is one of the areas first Bed & Breakfasts and Italian Restaurants. Originally begun as a small pizza shop in the early 70’s, Maria’s has evolved into one of the most unique and original places of destination in the world. Not only will you learn of the B&B, the restaurant, group and banquet facilities, you will also discover a spiritual world unlike you have ever experienced. You see, Maria is the Italian for Mary, in this case “Ave Maria.” Maria’s Garden & Inn, through the graciousness of the many guests, houses Icons, statues, grottoes, 1st class relics, and religious memorabilia of the Virgin Mary from the world over.

You will also learn about Cacapon B&B. After several years of operating the B&B at Maria’s Garden, the Perry Family expanded by buying a little motel at the entrance of the Cacapon State Park 10 miles out of town. There the Perry’s offer similar amenities of a B&B but with the convenience of a motel. There is a restaurant on the premises that serves some of the areas best fried chicken and BBQ ribs. AND, if that were not enough, Curtis’ wife Heidi opened Tanglewood Salon there also. She offers hair styling, manicures, tanning, facials, and let’s not forget to mention the fact that you will find some of the areas best handmade crafts made right on the premises.

Peg Perry, the mother, wife, and moving force behind the business since 1971, believes that Maria’s Garden has evolved into an all around treatment facility for the mind, body, and soul. Offering fresh home cooked food, a restful B&B, many health products, and spiritual solace, Maria’s Garden is near to the famed Mineral Springs and spas. “I believe what has been created here is probably the first Catholic/Holistic in the world.”
